WHAT IS RETROTAX?


What does RetroTax do?

RetroTax is a full service tax credit administration platform that allows your company to generate federal and state tax credits based on the employees you hire, locations you open, and growth you experience. We help organizations turn HR into a profit center. Our integrated offering reduces the amount of time and administrative burden spent managing these programs, and all work is on a contingent fee, which means no risk, all reward.

The program targets over a dozen different demographic and geographic target groups, and focuses on individuals who have faced barriers to obtaining or sustaining employment. Veterans, individuals on government assistance, the long term unemployed, and those residing in federally designated low income areas all qualify for this program.

Employees complete a tax credit questionnaire during onboarding and RetroTax takes it from there.

On average, 1 in 10 new hires qualifies for a tax credit, but could be higher or lower dependent on employee demographics.

Product Features

We are a second generation, family owned and run business that solely focuses on tax credit administration. We don’t administer these programs as a loss leader or to try and get your payroll business. We’re genuinely invested in our clients! RetroTax combines the benefits of technology and paperless screening with the human element. We have en entire team of individuals that pursue tax credits with the States, work to overturn denials, and do everything possible to maximize tax credits for a client. Billing model requires no upfront investment in tax credit screening- no implementation fees, no per employee/per month fees, no hidden costs.

Pricing Details

We bill on a contingent fee basis, generally in the range of 20% of credits generated for a client. We bill annually when credits are generated (usually tax filing season), and clients are only billed if we are successful. If no credits are found, there is no fee.
